What To Do In Las Vegas

Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Las Vegas

Inside the casino of the MGM Grand, visitors can view the “king of the jungle” within a 5,000 square foot habitat equipped with it's own waterfall. Open for viewing from 11 in the morning until 7 at night, visitors can snap pictures and watch as the lions interact with the handlers and even play with bowling balls. Sometimes you'll see the females, sometimes you'll see the males, and sometimes even the cubs come out to play. Although the exhibit is open for 8 hours daily, no one lion stays in the simulation habitat for more than 6 hours as they interchange them to and from their home on a ranch nearby. Also, these lions are all descendants of the legendary MGM Studio lion, Leo.

The last time we came here, we saw cubs playing with each other and giant balls. They were like massive kittens. Kids loved it, definitely check it out!
